Create a strategy

A strategy, within the context of a defined placement, is a decision tree that dynamically governs the selection and display of experiences based on contextual information, such as details about the website visitor and the page they are viewing.

A strategy contains a combination of two components: visit conditions and experiences.

Strategy Creation

Use the following steps to create a strategy:

1. On the Strategies tab, click Create Strategy. The strategy details page appears with a default decision tree.
2. Create a visit condition or an experience for each visit condition branch.

   When a visit condition has been created, you will need to create an experience for each visit condition branch.

3. Click Save.
